Scotland dedicates 5 million pounds to green energy

While Scotland’s best known attempt at reducing its carbon foot print is by far the wind farms that Donald Trump is blasting so loudly, Scotland has many plans in the works that they hope will culminate in a country contributing to the overall health of the world. Scotland’s government has set aside a hefty five million pounds for loans totaling up to 10,000 pounds for families installing green methods of energy generation.

It’s important for nations to have a positive attitude towards developing green energy products, but this move really highlights the commitment an individual has to have in order to make a move to green energy. If everyone comes together to make this initiative work, Scotland can make a pretty deep cut in to its carbon footprint. The loans can help families get biofuel heaters installed, but those families need to make the commitment to pay for it, too.

Green energy is everyone’s responsibility. It’s easy to evaluate this nation’s attitude on green energy, or that country’s withdrawal from their previous renewable ambitions. The problem with this is that on an individual level, people aren’t really aware that there’s a lot they can do by themselves. Preserving our Earth is everyone’s responsibility, and looking at Scotland’s example can help us remember this.
