Last night's presentation by Marc Lipschultz, of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, at the Stanford Energy Seminar's latest interation was an interesting one indeed. It was a free presentation entitled Saving the World and Having a Job: The Changing Energy Landscape and Implications for Investment.
The presentation was centered on just how the energy landscape has changed in the last couple of years and, as the head of KKR's energy and infrastructure business Marc Lipschultz was very qualified to discuss the topic and explain to the audience how changing resources affects every piece of business from the ground up.
One of the great things about this particular presentation was that Marc didn't just go over the changes that have occurred in the field, he also talked about the implications of those changes. He was able to go into detail about how things like investments or careers have been affected by the changes in energy and infrastructure.
It was definitely an intriguing addition to the Stanford University Energy seminar, and makes me want to look into the rest of it.
